Introducing myself and my journal: 'No to violence against women and young girls'



About Me:
I am Madam Marah M N Epie, aged 45 years, a Cameroonian, bilingual, living and working in my country. As concerns my educational background, I have a Bachelor's degree in English with specialisation in Linguistics (1992); in 1995 - 1997, trained as an Administrator in Social Work, and graduated with a professional diploma in Social Work, from the National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM) Yaounde.
Since leaving school in 1997, I am employed in the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and the Family in my country, and presently handle the post of Divisional Delegate. for Menoua in the West region. As Divisional Delegate, I coordinate and supervise action plans in all 06 Sub-Divisions in Menoua, prepare and execute budgets, inform/educate/train my target population, encourage partnership...
Besides, I am engaged in volunteering services: 1999 - 2005, worked for a national NGO, Association de Lutte contreles Violences faites aux Femmes (ALVF) ; since September 2012 a Say No to Violence UNIFEM external partner; networking with the World Global Network for Women's Reproductive Health and Rights (WGNRR) ...
I work for both the rural and urban population. I'm very open to new ideas and challenges; and can easily adapt.



My Passions:
Empathy for the less privileged; Educating the public



My Challenges:
My biggest challenge is with men who question and react poorly when I summon them to my office for a family or marital conflict.
