Introducing myself and my journal: Moving Forward!

About Me:
Hi there! I am Charmaine or 'Charms' for short. I live in Cape Town, South Africa.

I work for a non-governmental organisation (NGO), that deals with child rights and protection issues. I am passionate about human rights issues, especially as it relates to children an how to protect and empower them, especially our girls.
I am honoured to be part of, and manage a Victim Empowerment Program (VEP) that deals with children, mostly girls, but also some boys, between the ages of 11-18 years, who have been abused, sexually exploited and/or trafficked or are at risk of such atrocities.

I am keen to learn about and exchange information, ideas and concepts with fellow World Pulse members and engage in discussions and topics that are important to me in my professional and personal work around human rights issues, NGO/NPO management and building relations between governments and state departments, within my own country, as well as, on international levels.

Looking forward to engaging with you!
