Introducing myself and my journal: Helping People Out...For Real.

About Me:
I'm a 30-something certified nurse midwife at a freestanding birth center. I hold the firm belief that pregnancy, birth, and well woman care is a powerful experience for women that facilitates new beginnings, growth, learning, and empowerment through the process. In the process, I've learned to become an good listener and learner. Good care is a collaborative process through which learning is a two way street.

My Passions:
women's health, world peace, my family, my friends, good local foods, staying active, crafts, and traveling.

My Challenges:
reigning in my realism and letting my optimism rule in this crazy world of ours

My Vision for the Future:
a society that affirmatively supports women and their endeavors

My Areas of Expertise:
women's health, midwifery
