About Me: I am on this website today after reading the book, \"Half the Sky.\" I saw the authors discuss it on Oprah and had to hear more about the stories of the women in the book. While reading I cried and I laughed and I cried some more. I realized how little I knew about what women are going through in the world. I want to educate myself on these matters and join in the movement to make sure all women are treated as human beings and are educated to know their worth. I have signed up to sponsor a woman through Women for Women International and will be looking to sponsor a child as well through Plan International.
