Introducing myself and my journal: Goodbye Poverty!

About Me:
Passionate and self motivated, I am an individual committed to making a strong contribution to positive social change. After working with Non-Profits in India and the US, I recently started an organization with the aim to eliminate poverty through sustainable livelihoods.

Born out of the belief that the first step out of poverty is to find ways to help the poorest increase their income, Goodbye Poverty is a nascent organization that will work with the poorest families, starting in India. Through sustainable livelihoods, we aim to help them increase their income and get out of poverty permanently because we believe that the poor are resilient entrepreneurs representing an untapped market capable of participating in mainstream trade. We will work to eliminate obstacles that isolate them from today's marketplace by extending a market package. We aim to lend capital through social lending, support technology and create a direct market linkage between producer and consumer that will be based on meaningful, productive and profitable engagements...
