About Me: I am the Media Liaison Specialist at UNICEF Zimbabwe. One of my responsibilities is to promote visibility and advocacy on the light on the plight of women and children in Zimbabwe. During my time at Unicef I have developed a great passion for the girl child after seeing their plight, especially in the rural areas on Zimbabwe. For some of these girls the future is bleak with the only guarantee is marriage and motherhood in impoverished circumstances. In a country which boasts a literacy rate of 90%, many of these rural girls are very bright and intelligent. It is my aspiration to open the doors and windows for these girls, to enable them to break the cycle of poverty and to see a works beyond their limited circumstances.
