Introducing myself and my journal: Freedom for Females

About Me:
I've always admired the women in my life. Perhaps the fact that my mother worked alongside gaining credits toward completing her masters and raising my brother and I as a single parent had something to do with my sense of respect for females. Or it may have been because my grandmother stood by my grandfather as he battled with alcoholism only to take my brother and I on epic journeys around the states to every capital in the country. Watching my Nana fight with Polio her entire life to live to a ripe old age of 84 was also incredibly inspiring. Witnessing my Aunt escape damaging relationships with men time and time again in order to be as happy and vibrant a mother that she is today also led me to believe that I was not only lucky but blessed to be born a fertile lady. Whatever the reason may be I am certain that I would never want my life without the option of growing a child inside of me and calling myself a mother. I am patient with the process and know one day I will raise another human being and instill in them the sense of love for women that my family has instilled in me. If not for all these heroic females I would not be the person that I am today. It is for them that I call myself a lady and it is for them that I smile everyday.
