Introducing myself and my journal: common ground

About Me:
My names is Constance and am a single mother of 2 lovely children i adore very much. I dropped out of college when i got married some 10years ago. I was in an abusive marriage where i was constantly abused verbally and physically. I could not get out of the marriage because of cultural reasons, its almost taboo in Zimbabwe for a woman to live her matrimonial home. I later moved out and despite my financially unsound condition i decided to go back to college. I enrolled back at the University of Zimbabwe in 2009 for my first degree in Rural and Urban Planning and am currently in my final year.I pray that i will be able to help disadvantaged women acquire a standing in society and be able to fend for themselves.

My Passions:
social work

My Challenges:
am not patient

My Vision for the Future:
To be the founder of an organisation that represent security of tenure issue of disabled and disadvantaged women and girls

My Areas of Expertise:
town planning, developmental work, GIS and Projects planning, monitoring and evaluation
