Introducing myself and my journal: Bringing Them On Board

About Me:
I am a professional teacher with the Ghana Education Service. Became a founding director of Freedom International (FI) in 1998. Freedom International is a human rights and peace organization which prevents, manages, resolves and transforms conflict. As women's coordinator, my focus is on women and the youth. Between 2003 and 2006, I was heavily involved in organizing an HIV/AIDS project for 18 communities in the Tapa Traditional Area of the Biakoye District with funding from the Ghana AIDS Commission.

My Passions:
Bringing together people with diverse opinions

My Challenges:
How to seek funding to assist brilliant female pupils and students who are being forced by parents into premature marriage at the expense of their education.

My Vision for the Future:
To intervene on behalf of young school girls whose parents force them into early marriages

My Areas of Expertise:
Education and human rights defence
