About Me: I am a twin. The twin and I are last of five children. Four girls and one boy. My family is in Kenya while I have spend the last 10 years in the US, going to college, graduate school and now work. I came to the US through an academic excellence scholarship started by a Kenyan Woman to educate and train the next generation of African Women Leaders. The scholarship name is Zawadi Africa Educational Fund. I attended Xavier University for my Bachelors degree. I recently received a PhD degree in Analytical Chemistry from Purdue University-a journey that started with my love for Chemistry when I was in high school. I write poetry(published a book while in graduate school) and love to mentor young women, performance arts, meeting new people, and I enjoy nature.
