About Me:
Gretta is a widowed mother of three. An educator by profession. I have a passion for women's ministry and the youth. I am a dedicated member of the Women's Manyano (a mothers' union of the Methodist Church of Southern Africa). I have served the Manyano as a district treasurer for two consecutive terms in the Grahamstown District. Later I served as District President for two consecutive terms in the Queenstown District - a followership of approximately 10 000 women. God offered me an opportunity to grow, develop, know Him and be spiritually enriched. The exposure of these offices made me mingle with women of the world, make my contribution and to learn from others. I was then elected as President to represent and lead the women of the Southern and East Africa at the Federation. The office requires that I acquaint and familiarise myself with challenges that the women of the area face, encourage and strive to be part of the solution. Try to set up meaningful partnerships for women in these countries. It is my passion to join hands with other women in seeking to overcome challenges pertaining to women. Inner strength makes me face challenges with confidence, knowing God is on my side. Mentoring and grooming younger women is a joy.
