Introducing myself and my journal: About me.

About Me:
I am a Junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison studying Gender and Women Studies and Global Health. The last seven months I have spent in Kenya. I spent a semester studying community health and development, a month doing research on food security and three months interning at Health by Motorbike, working to empower women through education on health, literacy and income generation. My first task was starting a Library at the site, which has been a great success. I am currently working on a project with the Moringa Tree and helping my mentoring girls stay in school.

My Passions:
Health as a Human Right

My Challenges:
Seeing past the many challenges

My Vision for the Future:
A world where no one suffers from social injustices

My Areas of Expertise:
Women empowerment
