Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
My name is Liz. I am a graduate student at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon, United States. I'm working on a Master's in Social Work (MSW) and a Master's in Public Health (MPH). I currently work for a mental health agency, where I support individuals in accessing and maintaining safe and affordable housing.

I love to listen and I love to learn; I plan to be a life-long learner. I love hearing perspectives that are diverse from mine and collaborating and integrating with others to create something entirely new and unique. I'm a strong believer in healing and self-care- teaching ourselves and each other that we are worthy of love and nurturing no matter what we've been through. As a WorldPulse Listener, I'm hoping to foster all of these things and use my experiences to make and accomplish new goals!

My Passions:
music, books, my dog Sadie

My Challenges:
language barriers

My Areas of Expertise:
mental health, substance abuse, trauma-informed services, homeslesness, domestic violence, sexual violence
