Introducing myself and my journal



About Me:
I am a peace activist, trainer, researcher and an artist. I am adviser and founder of several bodies working on women’s rights, improved governance, gender equality as well as peace and security both in Pakistan and Internationally. In my professional career of 16 years, I have managed several projects and programs as a director. Currently, I am working as Director for Insan Foundation Trust an NGO with programs mainly focused on women’s empowerment and youth leadership in peace building. I am member of Women Waging Peace Network; Afghanistan/Pakistan Peace Dialogue Forum and the Provincial Board of Governors (Local Council Association of The Punjab), Member of the provincial CEDAW committee and former member of the International Working Group on Women, Peace and Security, and Steering Committee Member (Pakistan) of the Women’s Regional Network (WRN)-a network of women peace activists from Pakistan, India and Afghanistan. I am author and illustrator of numerous booklets and publications. I hold Master’s degree in geography from the University of the Punjab.
