About Me:
I am a chartered civil engineer, biologist and planner and have worked on rural water supplies in africa, sanitation systems in the Yemen and spent the last 20 years as a renewable energy consultant. I am passionate about keeping the planet healthy for all life forms in perpetuity and abhor the catrastrophic loss of wildlife caused primarily by a patriarchal society that is bent on competition and \"winning\". My wife, Tracy, is an artist and wise person who has never lost the perspective of the whole and we have spent many hours and days discussing and arguing about patriarchy and feminism. Now I see that the male based system which we all live with and (mostly men I guess) take for granted, is not appropriate to the issues we face in the world today and that womens' natural communicating, caring and empathic approach to life is the only true way forward to making changes for a peaceful and shared (with all life forms) earth. I can see that women (and other species) are ignored or debased (and sometimes violently abused) by men at all levels of virtually all societies and religions. Tracy has just asked me to read the article by the journalist in central India and the complete lack of any sanitation there - I feel so sorry for the women of all ages to be in that situation sometimes culminating the abuse, rape and murder of young girls by men. I feel ashamed for the men in the world that abuse women and all other life in this way. I would like to help with the sanitation issues if I can, and I know Tracy would like to communicate with, be with and work with the women to make changes in some way. Tracy doesn't work with computers at the moment (that may change) she prefers to work face to face. If we can be of any help (and we'd consider going to India with our two daughters in their early 20's) to help make changes.
