Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
I was born and raised in Brazil. I received a bachelor's degree in International Relations in my home country before moving to the United States in 2006. Fulfilling a strong desire to serve, I enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2008 as a logistics specialist. While serving, I obtained a Master's degree in International Relations and Conflict Resolution from American Military University. Following an honorable discharge from the Army in 2011, I earned a second Master's in International Administration from the University of Miami. During a subsequent internship with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), I learned of the Presidential Management Fellow (PMF) program. After applying and passing the third phase - I am now a PMF finalist of the class 2013. My inspiration to write is based on my desire to be someone that makes a positive difference in our society.

My Passions:
Strong desire to be someone that makes a positive difference in our society.
