Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
I am a recent college graduate, working as an event planner and corporate giving administrator whose true passion is to help women and children around the world. I became inspired to help through my contact with local non-profits in my area that combat homelessness, sexual assualt, domestic violence and promote women's rights and LGBT rights. I became truly into the cause of women around the world after reading the book Half The Sky and after being involved with Legal Voice, a local non-profit that promotes women's rights through legislation and education.

I hope to meet woman from all over the world to hear their stories and learn about how I can help. I hope to eventually work for an organization that promotes education, healthcare and entrepreneurial opportunities for impoverished women at a grassroots level.
