Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
As a young woman I was concerned and decided to help my people by joining one of the Civil Society Organisations in 2005 in Darfur called Sudanese Population for Relief and Rehabilitation. My job was to ensure food was rightly distributed to the targeted beneficiaries who were women and children. In 2006, I went on to work for Riaheen Elsalam for Maternity and Childhood Organization (REMCO) – Darfur – Sudan as a Training Assistant Officer. In this organisation I trained women on non violence and to know their rights within their respective communities in Darfur especially when it comes to maternity and child health. In 2007, I participated in a conference in Kenya for Sudanese youth discussing Millennium Development Goals in Sudan – a plan was later developed to achieve the goals. In the same year I worked as a volunteer with Sudanese Organisation for Non-Violence and Development in Khartoum.. From February 2008 to March 2009 I worked with Sudan Social Development Organization (SUDO) as a Training Officer. We were targeting social injustices inflicted on the people of Sudan especially women and children. I was training people on Gender equity and equally, Religious dialogues, Human Rights, Good Governance and Leadership skills. From these organisations I developed skills in Non-Violence and Development. Lastly from February 2009 to October 2010, I work as a Field Office Coordinator with Radio Darfur. Here I was documenting and exposing human rights violations inflicted on the people of Darfur committed by both the government and rebels. I was also advocating for respect of human rights by the two conflicting parties (the rebels and the government officials). I was at front line of voice issues of the Internally Displaced Persons in Darfur for they could speak for themselves, hence, I was the voice of the voiceless
