About Me: I am a media educator in Portland, Oregon. I have been teaching students aged 12 - 19 for approximately 15 years. Prior to that, I organized an international children's film festival in Chicago, IL and worked in television production. I was raised by my mother and grandmother in Seattle, Washington. My father was not part of my life. I met my husband over 20 years ago and we have a five year old daughter whom we adopted at birth.
