Introducing

World Pulse: A New Beginning For Me

The Women Deliver 2016 has not only been beneficial in terms of the knowledge acquired, experience sharing and networking with global leaders, but meeting World Pulse’s Yvonne Chi has added another dimension to my experience.

Having met Yvonne, she has brought the idea of joining world pulse –an online community that connects women across the globe and amplifies women’s voices to me. After having about 10 minutes chat with her together with few other young women leaders from Africa, I feel so connected with World Pulse because I think there is no better platform than the one that gives women and girls the confidence to tell their stories with the view to effect change in society.

The discussion continued on the benefits of joining this platform, and listening to Olaoluwa Abagun, a World Pulse member outlined all the good things in this platform further ignited my interest to be part of this online community.

I quickly got online and registered for the site. After joining, it took me almost 3 weeks to study the platform, get connected and read the powerful stories written by some members. Having visited the World Pulse site and read about the great online community roles available to members – from community encouragers to Activators, and the excellent groups offered in this platform, I felt a great sense of belonging and made a commitment that I am here to stay.

I see world pulse as a platform that gives womenand girls the opportunity to talk about their lives, dreams and country without fear of being silenced.

Joining World Pulse is another new opportunity to connect again with the voices of women all over the globe. I am excited to be here to share my own experience, and learn from the rich culturally diverse wealth of knowledge, skills and wisdom represented here.

I commit to explore this opportunity to speak for myself and raise my voice to the global community to take Act and Deliver for women and girls.
