Increasing Number of Rape Incidents and Bangladesh Women

Bangladesh got its independence almost 45 year ago. To make this piece of land free from clutch of the then Pakistan people of all walks of life under the leadership of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman fought a good fight for 9 nine month long.

This is the only fight in the world fought between unarmed general people of this country and highly trained up armed forces of Pakistan.

In nine month long fight many people sacrificed their lives and an innumerable women lost their chastity. This was the matter of sorrow and shame but the matter of joy was the achievement of freedom.

Purpose of getting freedom was make this land developed and prosperous and make people free from being exploited in all sectors by Pakistan government and its people.

The fact is in all these 45 years after the freedom is achieved Bangladesh could not make as much development as it should though in some sectors it achieved tremendous success which has been a matter of envy to many developed countries of the world.

But the most shameful matter is recent increased number of rape incidents.

Though Bangladesh is a Muslim country and most of its adult girls and women wear veil the number of rape incidents is increasing causing panic among the general people of the society.

But it has been observed that with increased number of rape incidents the color of picture is getting changed.

Now the more number of women are aware, courageous to take to the street and raising their voice.
