I've had the pleasure of interviewing global activists for six books, so enjoyable to be able to talk to feminists around the world--male, female, nonbinary. The latest is Young Global Changemakers for a Feminist Future by Gayle Kimball, Ph.D.

Part 1 describes the history of feminism, current issues, and feminist tactics for change for a more equitable and healthy future.

Part 2 reveals the actual words and experiences of young changemakers from 12 countries—mostly Gen Z.

Is the future feminist? Will equality and diversity replace domination? Our goal is to restore most of human history, which was egalitarian rather than authoritarian, since patriarchy has harmed us and the environment.

The book includes resources for feminist activists and what the author learned from developing the women’s studies program at California State University, Chico.

Gayle Kimball, Ph.D. is the Nautilus award-winning author of 22 books, including Brave: Young Women’s Global Revolution and Climate Girls Saving Our World.  As a feminist activist, she developed the Women’s Studies program at CSUC. www.gaylekimball.info/bookstore

Young Global Changemakers for a Feminist Future is an extraordinary synthesis of feminism today. It’s rich with intersectionality and diversity and Dr. Kimball unpacks some of the history around why this is the case. What is powerful is that instead of speaking for feminism today, she has fierce feminists speak for themselves.

Dr. Jeff Sapp, Professor of Education, California State University Dominguez Hills

Kimball's work highlights key voices in the global, multidimensional work of youth activism. Activists speak to important gendered issues and the ways they act individually and collaboratively to make the world a better place. The inspiring accounts provide concrete strategies for addressing complex social and environmental issues today.

Dr. Lucy Bailey, Director of Gender, Women's, and Sexuality Studies, Oklahoma State University

This book is on the right side of history. Patriarchy is passing away, and gender equity is a sign of the times. By giving concrete examples of young people who are already leaders in various cultures, the book is an effective resource to motivate many others to engage and contribute. Nothing is more effective than leadership by example.
