I am a TITAN: A FORCE OF NATURE.

I am writing this story to an Amazon, a Titan, a force of nature. Her name is Adanne Obodozie, she is 14 years old and she lives with Albinism.

People do not look at Albinism as a disability, but they do not understand how it feels to be uncomfortable in one's own skin. A little heat and I get burns, a little cold and my skin chaffs to the point of having open sores. I am allergic to most fabrics. Coupled with the fact that albinos are a favorite of ritualists. But I refuse to cower and hide, I am an African girl child, I am resilient, I am proud, I am brave. Even though I fear death, I know that some day we all must meet our maker. So to the North I say ki zo mana. Come to me, I will meet each day and each challange head on. To the South I say, Iri ma PRIYE, I am a gift, I am PRECIOUS I know my WORTH. To the East I scream a bum ikuku. I am the WIND a primal force of nature, I learn, I adapt and I move and change the order of things to suit me. To the West, e mi ni Ogun. I am the Titan of thunder the one that pushes through what I am meant to do. I am the best, the strongest I am a primal force of nature.

I am an albino, I was down trodden, I was raped and I was blamed, I was tagged useless and defiled, I was to be a brood mare, to be seen and not to be heard. But today I am a TITAN, a primal force of nature, an African Girl, a mentor, I am ME.
