I am a force of nature; I am Gaia.
I started wearing glasses when I was 3 years old, as time passed my eyesight dwindled. At a certain point, I was told that I had become clinically blind. Which meant I couldn't see without my glasses. I used to be teased about my glasses, if it was a prank my glasses was a part of it, if it was a fight, my glasses was the first thing that was broken. I was bullied not just because of my eyesight but because I was full chested. At a stage I couldn't cope any more, I wanted it to end. I cut, after a while cutting couldn't ground me anymore. One day I was pushed to far, I was pranked and was left naked and without my glasses, a distance from my hostel. On trying to get back to my dorm, I was accosted by some men and raped like a dog by the road side, by 4 different men. When I tried to crawl home I was bitten by a dog who thought I was an intruder since I couldn't see where I was going. It was the dog owner that saved me and rushed me to the hospital. For years I was never my self. I flunked college and ended up pregnant. That child was born as a stillborn. My family and friends blamed me and I was a pariah. Then I met my friend who introduced me to the world of technology and computers. The day I had decided to end it all, he changed my mind without knowing. This led me to take in children and youths who are tagged as broken. I show them that they are TITANS. I let them know that since they survived their ordeals that they are a FORCE OF NATURE. I help them see the silver lining. I created Kode-E, so that there would be a safe judgment free space. Where STEAM is taught to children, future paths are carved, and lives are saved. It's a place where we bond together, whether disabled or not, whether we are rich or poor, whether we are broken or not. We are a collective, we are a force of nature, and as long as I have breath I will help, I will encourage and I will help them believe that they are A FORCE OF NATURE. AND I AM GAIA.
