20 years ago we lost 22 humanitarian workers in Bagdad in that attack.The world was terrified, but it did not stop many more to lunge into this ocean of serving humanity. A vast ocean of needs that it is.Undaunted by conflicts, dangerous terrain, and bad weather, we keep going.Sometimes leaving our comfort zones, breaking cultural and language barrier, we keep thronging.Problems do not stop us, we stop them.People are our targets, empathy our tool.Serving is our profession , fulfilment our reward.As we celebrate Humanitarian Day 2023, don't forget we are humans too.We need to heal so we can better serve.We need to self develop to bring development.A hearty cheers to every humanitarian out there irrespective of tribe and Creed.May the universe work in your favor.May your resolve be strengthened more than ever.
