Good morning from sunny Cyprus. The sun is shining not because it's still summer here in Cyprus but because Elena is thrilled. Upon my return to my country on Wednesday with my Book Award, I received the second good news last night. I was crying all night.
But, it was tears of joy. I was crying not because of what happened in my life but for the changes I made for myself and the betterment of humanity. I couldn't sleep last night, not because of the jetlag from my trip to the United States but because I am happy for the woman I have become. There is life after abuse, and I am living proof.

So I will keep shining as bright and beautiful as I am so that others can find a way out of their darkness.
