Help 500 traumatized Girls as a result of killings and innsecurity in Nigeria

GIRLS AFTER THEIR TRAINING AT WIDC

This project going to provide free healing, skill acquisition, education and employment for traumatized girls as a result of insurgency in Nigeria in a safe and secure environment for them to create a new path to move forward in life.

The UN agency for refugees, on Wednesday 12th of April 2023 said over 80,000 refugees and 3.2 million internally displaced persons as result of the insurgency and insecurity were in Nigeria and in dire need of help. Nigeria has a total of 143,110 IDP camps out of which 84% are located in Borno state. Nigeria has the third highest number of IDPs in Africa as of 2020.

Women Inspiration Development center (WIDC) provides a safe place (Agency Development and Resource Center) good nutrition, access to mental health, skills and education for 500 girls that are traumatized and orphaned as a result of the insurgency in Nigeria. At the end of their training, they will also be given employment for at least 2 years for them to totally healed, equipped financially and then they will go back to their communities to help other girls.

In the long run, this project will heal, educate and equip 500 young women and allowing to rise out of their trauma and poverty. And they will be providing for their wellbeing, their families and more girls in their communities.
