Grateful for a Platform to Listen

Now is the time for people of privilege—especially those of us who have the lived experience of white people of privilege—to listen. To let others lead. And to stop thinking we have the answers.
Today I had the honor of listening to a woman leader I deeply admire and respect, Sherna Alexander Benjamin. She led a training for the World Pulse Digital Ambassadors on Intersectionality. It began with a moment of silence.
“I would like to speak peace, love and compassion into this space. I would like to take one second to honor the lives of the women and men that have been cut short because of the discrimination, violence, oppression, racism, which are enabled by a supremacist ideology, moved also by power and privilege. ”
Sherna shared with the group of global leaders the power of Incorporating an intersectionality framework into all aspects of work. Watch The training here: https://youtu. Be/hj9y7jlv63w.
Sherna has a long history of advocacy, leadership and service to her community. So please, take some time and celebrate her voice. Here are some of my favorite of her writings on World Pulse:
Thank you, Sherna, for your leadership, your activism, your joy and your power. I am grateful to know you.
