Grandmother Aggie

Inspiration for sharing comes from reading another story here this morning, regarding climate activists. and WATER. and it took me to memories of ceremonies for water.

Sandra Ingerman (a mentor of mine) writes in one of her books: "The ancient healing art of transmutation, in which toxic substances are transformed into "safe" substances, is mentioned in all the world's great spiritual traditions, including Hinduism and Taoism."   https://www.sandraingerman.com/

Medicine for the Earth: How to Transform Personal and Environmental Toxins

Grandmother Aggie Pilgrim (may she rest in peace) taught me much during her lifetime. She resurrected the Salmon ceremony which our rascist government shut down in the 1930s. during the salmon runs, there was a huge feast of salmon, then adolescent boys would place the bones at the bottom of the river, so the salmon would return the next year. Grandma Aggie was the granddaughter of the last formal Chief of her tribe. https://www.grandmotherswisdom.org/

Twice i have been arrested for old growth forest defense (fun stories). Civil Disobedience it is called. a college in california actually had a course on civil disobedience. If only there could be as much activism around gentle births as there is about environmental defense we would have a much saner world waterbirth.org
