Gender Based Violence

In this COVID -19 time gender based violence seems to have increased ten fold; Due to  numerous confinement and people working from home there has been little space  for people to have what they love most like socializing in  pubs , watching games etc It seems many people ( especially men) hardly know their homes! there are jokes  of children asking their mothers if Daddy has come to live with them ! Other fathers have been busy with work schedules either abroad of in their offices they hardly have time with families.. therefore there's that acrimony in homes;

In other families COVID-19 has disrupted people livelihoods thus rendering many unemployed; this is potential a dangerous space because depression sets in resulting to people losing their cool often.Its a catch 22 which needs to be addressed with caution as  they serve as triggers to start violence within the homes.

What this means is that in every situation there's a silver lining ; this situation might last for a little longer than we had anticipated; we need to know how to strike a  balance even as we raise our families and pursue careers/ work.
