Story Background:
In the last ten years, Media has become the most sought after career in Pakistan, particular among women. News rooms are dominated by women workers. However, not many women journalist have not been able reach the crucial positions where they can make the difference.
The proposed documentary will try to understand the factors that are stopping these brilliant women to lead the News industry?
Is it because of the socio-political and religious factors that don’t allow them to go beyond certain limits? Or it is their lack of commitment towards the profession?
The 20 minute documentary will to try to find these answers by meeting and sharing experiences of women journalists, their colleagues, families, media managers and academicians.
The film will be an HD production and will be shot in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
