"From Shadows to Strength: A Journey of Overcoming Bullying and Finding Empowerment"

Hello! Today, I wish to share my story to inspire others and raise awareness. During my childhood, I was a quiet child who would often sit in the corner seat near the window and had no friends. While I had an average academic performance, I had a great interest in co-curricular activities. However, my self-esteem was non-existent. I was disliked by others, my classmates would mock and bully me, and my teachers didn't pay much attention to me because I wasn't one of the brightest students. I developed a perception of myself as being worthless, unworthy, incapable of achieving anything, and worst of all, unlovable.

One incident from my school days remains etched in my memory. One of my classmates approached me to ask for a favor, requesting that I accompany her to an activity room. We sought permission from our teacher and once granted, we left the classroom. However, upon returning, my teacher completely forgot that both my classmate and I had received permission. Without any further inquiry, she slapped me in front of everyone. Initially, I was shocked and felt a deep sense of shame. I questioned myself, trying to figure out what I had done wrong. As a young child already struggling with self-esteem, I spiraled downward. I froze and remained silent, without seeking any clarification from my teacher or even discussing it with my classmate. Quietly, I returned to my seat. That day is forever ingrained in my memory, and I can still vividly recall the emotions I experienced. It is just one of the many incidents that have left a lasting impact on me. Try as I might, I cannot forget it.

Now, as an educator myself, I am committed to ensuring that I do not leave a similar imprint on any child's life. I strive to be the kind of teacher who fosters a positive and nurturing environment. My own experiences have instilled in me the importance of kindness, empathy, and respect in education. By sharing my story, I hope to create awareness and inspire others to create environments where every child feels valued and supported.
