Floored by question on stipend!

Hi Ladies

I had one oddball question coming my way from one of them, on how much my \"stipend\" was and i didnt know what the heck she meant. When i queried, she pointed me to the text on this page which reads \"Each correspondent will also be matched with a personal empowerment coach, have writings published in World Pulse magazines, and receive a stipend to offset communications costs associated with use of internet cafes and transportation from remote areas.\"

I dont know how true or accurate it is to say that \"each correspondent\" will get the stipend as I understood its offered to those who badly need financial assistance with access to internet and travel costs.

I dont know if others have come across this query too, but i was floored - after saying that this was a voluntary assignment and i was doing it as part of training, at my own cost and my own time.... i couldnt figure out how to respond to this twist without saying the text on the site was totally inaccurate! So i said nothing.

But it would be good to adapt this text, please, to reflect the real situation. I give the link to this page often, as it gives an at-a-glance description of what this programme is all about.

Am i the only one who's had this crazy question been asked?
