My Real Story
There are many incidents one met in life that change the whole concept of living. Similarly, I had an incident that change my vision toward life. This incident is 10 years old.
It was evening time. My Grandmother(My Mother’s Mother) stayed at our home. She was teaching me Quran. Everyone was sitting next to us. My mom suddenly got a call from my father.
The person on the other end of the phone was a stranger. He told that my father has met with an accident and his condition is dangerous. Like every Daughter, I love my father very much, he is dearer to me than my own life. I started crying a lot.
My grandmother said to me, my dear daughter doesn't cry. Be prayed and ask dua from Allah. I prayed and asked Allah for my father's life. When my mother reached the hospital, my father called her name.
After that, he fainted. Then all his tests were done. The doctors said that blood clots in his brain.
He remained unconscious for the next 2 days. Then doctors said that perhaps he will lose his memory. When I found out, the ground came out from under my feet.
I wept the whole day. Then the next day, he remained unconscious. The doctors said that if he does not regain consciousness, he may go into a coma. I tripped after hearing this.
I went to the hospital to see my father. Seeing them in a state of unconsciousness, I was shocked. I cried a lot. Back home again I cried a lot. My grandmother gave me a lot of faith in Allah and she said to me that my dear daughter Even a single tear shed in prayer can change destiny.
Doctors are not God. Dua is a reminder of Allah's closeness to His servants.
Allah says am indeed near (to them by My Knowledge). I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me (without any mediator or intercessor). So let them obey Me and believe in Me, so that they may be on the right path.
Dua can open doors for us that we never knew existed.
Allah is always there listening. Seek out Him with a sincere heart and He did not leave a believer empty-handed. Allah does not leave the hands of a sincere believer empty. One must note that when you ask for something from your Lord through dua, your intention plays a major role.
You must truly trust that whatever it is you ask of Him will be answered in one of the many ways He gives His provision.
I listened to all these very carefully. And I prayed day and night with great conviction. I was a daughter, so I also wept.
But I prayed with a lot of faith. More days passed, and My father was not in his senses. The doctor said that the next 48 hours would be a lot of serious for him. If there is no consciousness, then the operation will be done. They cannot say whether they will be well or not after the operation. My Grandmother kept me reassured. I prayed with faith.
He regained consciousness. I went to the hospital again to see my father. But he did not recognize me. It was very painful for me. I felt as if I had lost my life.
Even when I came home, I cried very badly. Doctors said that his memory will not come. And his tongue will never taste anything. Despite all this, I did not stop praying.
Miracles happen. Happened to us.He regained consciousness. He spoke a little. He said that he was having a headache. The doctor said that his telling like this is nothing short of a miracle.Because, In this condition, the patient cannot tell.He remained conscious. He had coming a taste for some things and some things had not.He remembered some things and some he didn't. He was treated for a few days and then the doctor sent him home.
And the doctor said he will always be like that. But I didn't stop praying and gradually he recovered completely.
My father is well now.
Alhumdulilah! His memory is well now. He can taste anything.
This incident taught me the lesson that no matter what happens, don't give up the prayer.
I feel relieved after describing our difficulties to our Creator. I feel empowered after having communicated with the Allah Mighty. I sense His mercy all around us after talking to the Most Merciful.
I get a new commitment to follow His path for that is the only path to success. I feel blessed with each such commitment. Today my Grandmother is not in this world. But I still remember the things that she said.
