Exploitation of house keepers and nanny's in our society.

This i actually experience it. Most of the times in our society a lot of young girls and women who works as house keepers are exploited on a daily basis and when you field a report about being exploited by your employer the case usually disappears without you getting the Justice you deserve. I worked as a nanny for a wealthy man, normally before signing the contract our initial agreement was that I will take care of the kids, do their laundry, help with their assignments when needed as for cooking, cleaning and doing my employers laundry, I wasn't supposed to do any of those, I signed and first week of work he requested I helped him with laundry, cooking and cleaning of his home, that already was out of my job description but again I told myself it's just for today it won't kill if you helped him out, I went ahead did the laundry, dishes, clean the house and cooked, an out of nowhere it became part of my duty of which my salary wasn't going to be increased. I accepted to work as a nanny for a pay that wasn't even enough because I needed the money to sustain myself and pay for my daily bills and save up to someday start of a business of my own but the pay itself couldn't even help sort out my bills. I was paid 30000frs that's about $48 for a monthly pay I didn't complain because I had no choice at the point. In the long run my employer started making advances at me , and at the same time threatening to sack me if I didn't do what he wanted luckily I had barely few days to receive my salary, and when I got my salary I quit. Now in my country there's the anglophone crisis that has displaced a lot of families from their homes, so many young ladies are vulnerable and will do anything to secure a job for themselves. A lot of girls and women are going through hell in the field of house keeping and nanny jobs in my country and yet they have nobody to speak up for them unlike me who was smart enough to quit, some young girls especially those from villages do not have the ability to quit, for some their families solely depend on them to feed on a daily basis, some if sacked they have no where to go and there will be stranded on the streets and has no one to help them. My fellow women, young girls, politicians, and those in power please look into the cry of people working in the field of house keeping and nanny. They need your help, some are sexually harassed, molested by their male boses, mistreated by their female boses. I wish women in world pulse can add their voices to mine let's fight against exploitation of domestic workers. It could be your sister or daughter, or even mother tomorrow facing this gross mistreatment, harassment in the hands of their boses. We mostly based our focused on office jobs and harassment women face forgetting that domestic workers go through worst case scenario.
