EWDMAT Project

 Empowering Women With Disabilities Through Multimedia Arts (EWDMAT) project is an InspireIT project that is focused on training and empowering women with disabilities in Nigeria by developing and strengthening their creative, and multimedia artist skills (animation, painting, video production and graphic design). 

One of the main objectives of the project to create a community of women with disabilities that can work together toward a common goal of getting more women with disabilities to learn creative,digital literacy ICT and multimedia skills. The project is in line with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 1 and 5, Goal 1 which targets to end poverty in all forms and Goal 5 which focuses on gender equality and disability inclusive development for women and girls.

Those trained can go on to mentor and train other women with disabilities in their various local communities, thereby helping to build a community of women with disabilities who can help break the bias against women with disabilities.
