Every Day is International Women’s Day on World Pulse

Digital Ambassadors will lead more than 50 events throughout the month of March.

As the world gets ready to celebrate International Women’s Day on Sunday, World Pulse Digital Ambassadors are proving that every day is International Women’s Day on World Pulse!

Throughout the month of March, 100 Digital Ambassadors across 25 countries will be lifting up the voices of women through digital technology. Ambassadors will hold more than 50 events to celebrate the many ways women are transforming technology through stories, actions, and advocacy.

To keep up with the latest news from the events and connect directly with your World Pulse Ambassadors, visit the Digital Ambassador Event page.

This year, World Pulse provided 38 Digital Ambassadors with small stipends to carry out events in 12 countries. The gatherings will cover a range of topics: from digital literacy for girls in Nigeria to a blog-a-thon in India, a podcast session in Cameroon, a series of storytelling circles in the Philippines and a coffee meet-up for TEDMED speakers in the United States—it’s amazing to see the energy, creativity, and excitement World Pulse leaders are generating this month (and every month! ).

And even as the COVID-19 health crisis led to the cancellation of some planned events —including World Pulse’s own workshop at the CSW NY convening of more than 11, 000 women leaders from around the world—world Pulse is undaunted. Because of digital tools, we’re able to host an online workshop and invite women leaders from all across the globe. We’ll be sharing stories of how emergent women leaders are rising up in 2020 through the power of their voice. Register for the event, which takes place on 12 March at 1pm ET / 9PM UTC here.
