From One Woman’s Vision to a Safe Space for Women
I believe meaningful change can begin with one person choosing to listen.
Through Al Shifa Women’s Care, I am building a safe, accessible space where women and female students can receive non-clinical emotional peer support, encouragement, active listening, and guidance without fear of judgment.
My journey has not followed a traditional educational path. Instead, I have continued learning through free and accessible online opportunities and transformed what I learned into practical community initiatives.
One of my key initiatives is free active listening training for women and female students. Through recorded sessions, reflection activities, and WhatsApp discussions, I encourage participants to understand the importance of listening with empathy rather than immediately giving advice.
I am also developing Sister Shifa, an AI emotional support coach, designed to provide a warm first point of support for women and students. It is not a replacement for professional mental-health care; its purpose is to offer compassionate conversation, emotional reflection, and encouragement while guiding people toward appropriate professional help when needed.
The impact I hope to create is bigger than numbers. I want women to feel that their emotions matter, their voices deserve to be heard, and they do not have to face difficult moments completely alone.
My vision is to make emotional support more accessible—especially for women and girls who may have limited access to formal services.
I am still growing, learning, and building. But I have learned something important along the way:
You do not need to wait until you have everything to begin creating change. Sometimes, change begins when you simply decide to listen.
