Empowered women waster pickers through various socio-economic schemes.

By building leadership skills, I was able to impact women waste pickers and their children across three separate districts in Maharashtra, India. In addition, I was able to work with the government to secure their official ID cards to secure their work in waste segregation. Through my organization, I have been able to impact 1500 women. We have trained also them on setting up Self-Help Groups, money saving scheme with credit unions, and how to set up their own business. The children of the women waste pickers are now attending government schools.
