Economically empower women survivors of violence with me.

Domestic violence is a daily occurrence in Nigeria. Girls learn to expect it and tolerate it once married. Women believe their husbands have the right to beat them. I used to think so too, and I was beaten too.

When I gave birth to daughters, I decided to make a change. I stood up for them, myself, and the women of our community and founded Star of Hope Transformation Center for women survivors of domestic violence. We provide a healing space where women can recover, learn about their rights, and acquire income-generating skills. Our latest project, Trash to Treasure, encourages women to add value to their lives by producing and selling beautiful products made from recycled materials.
