Street Families 

What happened to loving one another and being your brother’s keeper at all times? This is the question that crosses my mind whenever I see the streets filled yet homes are empty.

Death, the darkest reality, and poverty are among the greatest contributors to the street family. I believe in all these relatives could do a thing but no because nobody cares and no one wants the burden on their shoulders. If only the spirit of togetherness is upheld there will be a better world but it is so sad it was replaced by selfishness.

Funny how things have turned out lately a relative would rather allow a total stranger to better himself than a relative who qualifies in the same field. They can’t stand their supposed loved ones going up with the fear of they will be better than them. In these dark yet unpredictable days, kindness should be our priority, tables are turning quite fast to make people your enemies, do what you would want to be done unto you on the occurrence of such. 

Shackles of the Past

Behind every character and decision made there is a story behind it, find answers before concluding, and above all never make assumptions!

Dark pasts are likely to haunt one future and the fear of recurring scenarios drives one crazy no wonder we have a depressed generation. The fear of the past haunting the present is a major drawback of progress, one will always be reluctant on doing the needful, and sometimes talking things out is not an option because if it won’t be used against you will be judged out of it. One should just make peace with the past and hope for a better tomorrow because you can’t stop living simply because some mistakes happened in the past.

Inherited hatred

Why must we inherit hatred that we hardly have any idea how it came by, free us we deserve better.

Dear parents we can’t keep on carrying your burdens on our shoulders, we are just young let us enjoy our lives, and create a good environment for us to blossom in. Times are already hard to add hatred to it.

When you’re finally gone who will we call family while we hardly talk, see and above share life experiences, stop failing us and hardening our tomorrow there is nothing without a solution so for the sake of the future seek the solutions before the time elapses leaving your children stuck to your own mistakes.

Entitlement

Has it ever crossed your mind that your children might be battling depression that you drove them into?

There comes a certain time when your children want to make their decisions on their terms but some parents feel like there are entitled to their children such that they can’t make more of those decisions. That hurts so deeply and it can end in either depression or withdrawal when things get out of hand completely it can result in fleeing home for the strong ones but for the completely weakened ones suicide becomes the only option to run away from everything.

At a certain age, you have to stop being too controlling and trust your children with their decisions that way they will always consider your feelings while making them so as not to hurt you. What seems sensible and working for you might be a time bomb to your children, give them a chance to be themselves. Being strict doesn’t necessarily mean they will grow per your supposed uprightness, somewhere along the way they might slip so badly, and out of fear you end up making terrible irreversible mistakes while trying to make things right to seem perfect before you.
