People who are doing self medication

I am Salami Rolake Comfort by name , a native of ilero in Oyo state, oke area of kajola local government, oke Ogun area, I was among people invited for the program "WOMEN INSPIRATION DEVELOPMENT CENTER (WIDC )DIGITAL INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY FOR GENDER EQUALLY .  I am writing this story in fulfilment of the assignment given to us in the class.    The story I want to relate happened to my uncle who by mistake killed himself because of uncare attitude..  He was a farmer who use to plant many crops like maize, pepper ,okro, vegetables and so on. One day when he was in the farm, he mistakenly cut his right leg with cutlass and the wound was deep. The reason why I said he killed himself is because there were many hospitals. many chemists around his house where he can get tetanus injection and drugs to cure his wound but he refused because he did want people around knew that he cut his leg with cutlass when he was working in his farm. He believed that people will make jest of him He even warned his wife and the children not to tell anyone. He even believe that if they tell people, they can use the opportunity to kill him . After six months of self medication, my uncle kicked the bucket. After he died, people who just heard what led to my uncle "s death were blaming his wife but no remedy again because the deed had been done.. The lesson we can learn from my story is as follows:  1 self medication is not good 2 hiding our problem from people who can render help for us is very dangerous.3 African mentally that people can kill us should be erased from our mind .4 keeping quiet when not necessary is dangerous.
