Cybercats Mx - Digital Security Education for Girls in Mexico and the World

I am a Computer Systems Engineer with formal studies in Cybersecurity.

I was able to see the scale of violence against women and girls in Mexico through my feminist activism with Olimpia Coral Melo (activist towards legislation about non consensual broadcast of intimate content) and a huge network of women called the National Front for Sorority. Later on I joined the Mexican Association against Cybercrime where I learned about child pornography's prevalence, 60% of such content comes from Mexico.

I am a feminist with grassroots organization background and I decided to use it to educate girls in Mexico and other countries so they are better prepared for risks online when governments, parents, media and social network platforms keep failing them.

CyberCats World is a socially responsible startup based in Mexico City. We are creating and giving workshops to girls 8-12 to prevent emotional manipulation, to make them know what a good password is, how to identify fake profiles and to remember they don't have to answer to messages they might receive, how to detect romantic fraud, and other relevant skills.

60% of child pornography in the world comes from Mexico and might start with grooming girls online through TikTok, Facebook and Discord groups.
