Coming into the final weeks....

Dearest Correspondents,

I can hardly believe that we are almost to the end of the training program. What a wild and wonderful journey its been since we started the application process last March. This program truly has legs of it own.

As you write your feature story, try not to focus on what's next, whether you will be published, or the awards. Try to focus, instead, on the in-depth story you are about to tell. Let the words spill out. We sit in anticipation of your next story. Give us, your readers, what we are waiting for! Let's shake the world with your voices!

Still thinking about what's next? Sometimes it helps to know!

Toward the end of October, early November Scott and I will be issuing invitations to the Voices of Our Future \"graduates\" for the Global Correspondents Network. We will provide full details about the network then.

On November 9th, World Pulse will announce three correspondents, who have been selected to come to the US for a speaking tour. (unless you already live in the States, of course!) This announcement is a nail biter for all of us. If you are not chosen as one of the awardees, I know it may be painful and disappointing. As a matter of fact, you might get pissed! Whatever you feel will be perfect in that moment.

After that, our wish is that you do not let this define you or your experience in this program. Each of you is talented and gifted. Each of you is worthy. If we could, we would award each correspondent a prize worthy of you. Since we cannot, we will do our best to continue to give you an experience that lets you further develop your unique voice, sharpen your skills, expand your network, raise visibility for your issues, and create your own opportunities.

Each of your is making our world a better place with every word you write. Thank you, as always, for joining us on this journey on the frontiers of new media. Your courage has paved the way for other women to follow. That is no small thing.
