Chosen for 2022 cohort of Starling Collective!

Dearest World Pulse family, 

It is with great joy that I share with you that I have been chosen to be part of the 2022 cohort of GivingTuesday's Starling Collective. The announcement begins - 

50 grassroots leaders join the global movement’s learning fellowship, selected from 1,400 applications in 89 countries

I get to be part of an incredible cohort of people doing incredibly diverse work. Setting up penpals for people in the prison system of Canada. Youth empowerment with a focus on Mental Health in Madagascar. Channeling community knowledge for social change in the Amazon. 

'Tending the Flame', my initiative to bring peer-led mental health support to India in the form of safe and brave spaces, will benefit from this incredible community!

I know that I couldn't have articulated the work that I do without the incredible support that I have received from Changemakers Lab. We are now beyond the halfway point and it was shocking for me to suddenly realize that it is so when Ana pointed it out in our last meeting.

I was able to frame my application because of the foundation that I have received in the lab-

1. understanding the context of my work
2. deep insights into storytelling 
3. cultivating an elevator pitch
4. support and encouragement to start my pilot circle

Which reminds me, I am also celebrating that I am now two circles into 'Tending the Flame'. I have my small, beautiful support circle that began in June, and a newer, beautiful circle where I don't know most of the participants yet - that began two weeks ago!

Thank you, community, for your presence, your support, your encouragement, your insights, your wisdom, the generous sharing of your learnings - World Pulse is incredibly special to me as I learn to fly. 

And a special thanks to Ana - I know that Changemakers Lab is your baby and I want you to know that you are making such a difference in people's lives. It is incredible. Soak it in, my friend - so much gratitude and love to you.
