CHILD ABUSE

Sometimes ago, I read the story of a minor (9) nine years old,who was made to experience what hell fire looks like by her uncle on the social media and my organization swung into action to rescue the situation.

It happened that a secondary girl and boy fell in love, the boy got the girl pregnant while they were still in school, the pregnant teanager dropped out of school while the boy: awaiting father continued with his education. On the day of delivery, probably,due to malnutrition, lack of proper medical care,anti  - natal etc, the young girl died after delivery of her twins: a boy(Taiwo) and a girl ( kehinde). Out of fear that the family of the deceased would prosecute him for all the misfortunes,he took to his heals( absconded) then his aged mother, who's a widow took over the responsibilities of the twins from infants till they turned Nine(9) years old. So one day, the aged indigent woman (grandma) cooked a meal for the family- herself, twins and a young man whom the twins call's UNCLE! Who wasn't at home when the food was ready. Twins and grandma eat their meal and uncle's food was kept by somewhere by grandma. Unknown to kehinde that Her twin brother ( Taiwo) had gone behind to eat part of uncle's food bcoz he was not filled by the portion grandma gave him, kehinde was freely playing around when uncle arrived to pick his food and realized it had been tampered with, Taiwo ran away, but innocent kehinde was called upon and interrogated by her uncle,on her insistence that she didn't eat the food,her uncle threatened to make her experience what liar's would suffer in hell fire, and he eventually carried out the threat by compelling kehinde to open up her hands,then he put hot charcoal in her palms and forced her to close them up, kehinde cried in agony,by the time she opened her hands, the palms were burnt...... when we read the story,we traced the source, wrote a letter of report to ministry of women children and social affairs of our state and followed it up to NAPTIP, where kehinde's matter was given comprehensive attention and a corrective surgery was carried out on her. Kehinde is fully back in school as I write... This situation happens in various home's,we bless God for making someone, somewhere put kehinde's matter on the social media for us to see.
