Changemakers Lab Module 1: Revisiting my Goals

A group photo after our very interesting discussion with the women.

Women of Daki Biyu Community, Jabi, Abuja

I had set out to ensure that women and persons living with disabilities are better informed to find better ways to be active participants in politics.

During my journey on this sensitization, my visit to Daki Biyu community in AMAC, Jabi., Abuja made me realize that women especially those in rural communities are very eager to participate but what has constantly stood on the way is nearest to the places of registration and lack of funds for transportation.
However their willingness has made me realize that most importantly women need to be better educated to know their rights to active participant in making an impact in the political scene. Anywhere We go We appreciate their willingness and zeal to want to create  the change that is most needed.

It gladdens my heart to see the  older women encouraging the younger ones.

I am now looking at better ways to help assist in ensuring that these women  have centers as close as posible to facilitate easy registration and collection of their voters card.
