Changemakers Lab Module 1: My NEW SMART GOAL

Financial Literacy is the ability to understand and effectively use various financial skills, including personal financial management, budgeting, and investing. Financial Literacy is the foundation of your relationship with money, and it is a lifelong journey of learning. The earlier you start, the better off you will be because education is the key to success when it comes to money (source; what is financial literacy)
Making money does not automatically brings you to have a financial freedom. Regardless of how much you make, you have to learn how to manage your money effectively. Most of us have struggle to make enough money to meet our financial obligations. Some, find it incredibly difficult to stick to a budget.
I list down top 10 common source of financial problem we might facing right now:
- Spending too much (buying new or unnecessary items)
- Habits on gambling, alcohol, cigarettes, living on a borrowed money
- Not having emergency fund
- Relying on Parents
- Impressing Others
- Not starting to save
- Financial Illiterate
- Unemployment or lower than usual income
- Unexpected illness or accident
- No passive income
From the Changemaker Lab Module I created my Smart Goal that will help me with my initiatives.
Specific: I want to train young professionals build their capacity on managing their finances to an action and changes in behavior that turns into financial literacy.
Measurable: I will facilitate a training through an online workshop with 10 young professional once a month.
Achievable: I will collaborate with people who have the expertise on financial management and share practical self-financial improvement tips.
Relevant: I want to empower young professionals to have a freedom to live debt-free, with enough money saved for emergencies, and the ability to make a long term passive income.
Timebound: In 8 months, I hope to trained a 10 young professionals to take action with a changes in behavior that turns into financial literacy.
My SMART GOAL:
In 8 months, I will begin to train 10 young professionals to build their capacity on managing their finances to an action and changes in behavior that turns into financial literacy. To achieve this, I will collaborate with people who have the expertise on financial management and share practical self-financial improvement tips. It will be an online worship to be conducted once a month. Thus, I hope that every participants will be empowered to have a freedom to live debt-free, with enough money saved for emergencies, and has the ability to make a long term passive income.
