Changemaker Lab #Module 5- Fundraising for a Cause

It has been a wonderful time at Changemaker lab and during this stage, it was so interesting the way Global Giving and Go Fund me was brought in to share with us how we can fundraise for our projects.  Fundraising or raising fund is an important aspect of any project because without fund, it becomes very difficult to achieve the goals of the project. With the help of changemaker lab, we now have places to turn to raise fund like Global Giving and Go Fund me apart from the writing proposals to funding organizations. We also are aware now that we can raising through people around us when they believe in our project, see it as a need in the community and something that needed to be achieved immediately. In this case, our initiative must be succinct and the objectives very clear. After this lesson, I started fundraising to feed 250 very poor families during the Christmas. My aim is that those very poor homes will be able to have enough on their table to celebrate Christmas and the new year. Within 3 days, I was able to raise $950 from friends and it was sent to our Global Giving Page.
