Change Makers Initiative Update. Part 1 Module 4.

 Greetings! This is a UPDATE to questions to move forward to completion. I mistakenly chose INITIATIVE which it is but I should have clicked on UPDATE. This should have already been Published. 

Build Tomorrow Today: Help Build A Women & girls Social Education Empowerment Center.

Why is this Initiative project Important? 

According to the World Economic Forum, 46.7 percent of the population of Senegal still lives in extreme poverty. Furthermore, the impoverished nation also suffers from a very high infant mortality rate when compared with developed countries, as reported by the World Bank. 

Strengthening the role of women as entrepreneurs and economic stakeholders is the key to improving the quality of life for this vulnerable country. 

And while many policies that seek to reduce poverty in sub Saharan Africa assume that women are constrained in improving their earning potential, survey respondents reported that risk exposure and insufficient credit are bigger obstacles than traditional notions of female disempowerment like limited time or household bargaining power. 

Furthermore, a recent report published by American Express on the state of women business owners also observed the most common challenges faced by women entrepreneurs to be a lack of funding and mentors.

Based on these insights Queen Sheba Village developed its comprehensive program of entrepreneurship training, microloans, health education and social services. The construction of the Queen Sheba Village Women’s Empowerment Center will enhance and increase the organization’s ability to provide direct support to Senegalese women.

The ongoing urgency in the location we are building is most needed to support women, girls and families because there is no other resource of support education and resource wise available to thousands residing in this particular area.

What? What are we doing to tackle the problem?

First I would like to say that QSV aiding humanity is a Volunteering run lead operation Nonprofit. This is essential to answer the WHAT. 

We are and constantly seeking Volunteers whom have professional skills to aide to the support of the mission and vision of QSV, Inc. Our Volunteers help support the WHAT. I will mention what QSV Volunteers do to tackle the problem. 

2. Fundraising, Fundraising and Fundraising. We seek dollars large and small via public grants, business loans if possible, and public donations. Also our volunteering members pay membership dues which we donate to the pot specifically to aide this project. Without this fundraising effort  Building a structure would NOT be possible. We have to start somewhere and that is fundraising to Build to alleviate the problem of the WHY is it important. We experienced the pain and financial woes to constantly have to rent out spaces to hold events, trainings, etc and travelling long distances to hold programs. All of this continues to answers the WHY it is import to achieve this project to success. So if we can get acquire the funds to build and WE ARE this is the answer to the WHAT we are doing to tackle the problem. Providing solutions ensures success to any project.

QSV recruits skilled Volunteers or should we say Volunteers recruit/choose us to support our causes. We are grateful to each and everyone of them! 

How? Actions and Activities toward reaching the goal. 

Above we mentions several actions to reach our goal successfully toward completion. Let me add here that we are a committed Volunteering team effort. With the support of our partners such as organization Taproot Foundation, World Pulse,  Giving Way, Network for Good, and additionally partnering with Givebutter. Our Initiatives listed here: https://queenshebavillage.org/our-team/our-partners/. Our main important research is ourselves, we are our RESOURCES. QSV Volunteers are our Stake holders. Gone past the days to completely depend on traditional nonprofit/ngo resources. We are and will continue to participate In social media campaigns such as GivingTuesday, GivingEveryTuesday, Global Giving and our own in - house networks to be viewed on QSV website. 

Address The Need.

We need changemakers in the field of justice in the Nonprofit/ NGO/Association arenas. We need laws of protection against discrimination including that against women whom are leaders in this occupation especially against women of color and those in leadership in so called poor regions, locations and countries. The "WHO you know, and not WHAT you know" has been remains prevalent. I do agree accountability, transparency and proving track records of Leaders are and should remain Important to get help, funding etc to address the needs of their operations but after we rule all of this out then what do we have left?

Whom are we Impacting? How Potential more many?

 At this date in the month of October 2022 we have impacted thousands since our initial Founding launch in Senegal. Let's potentially says several thousands( moving further beyond this humble accomplishment)( I gave a number of 1 clarification purposes) more can and will be GOD willing be successfully cemented in this impact. We have to get there first and without the aide of volunteers and all mentioned here this would Not be a conversation at all, seriously.

In a nutshell we are seeking to alleviate poverty smack in the doorway of families home. By providing work shop trainings and classes many are welcomed as possible to participate and benefit from resources from the Center and meet professional Volunteers, and likeminded individuals sharing a commonality to better their livelihoods.
